ABBYY and SITRONICS IT, one of the largest system integrators and leading suppliers of IT products, solutions and services in Eastern Europe and CIS, inform about successful completion of project for automation of workflow system in MTS Retail chainб reported the press-centre of SITRONICS IT.

Main tasks within scope of creation of electronic workflow system (EWS) are enhancement of quality of initial documentation processing of major portion of routine tasks. MTS selected platform IBM FileNet and stream data input system ABBYY FlexiCapture for organization of centralized corporate workflow management and implementation of single EWS. SITRONICS IT was selected upon results of the bid for conducting of pre-project work and implementation of the stated solutions.

Ample capabilities of IBM FileNet in provision of long-term storage of text files, scanned documents, charts, e-mail messages and other types of documents to the fullest extent meet requirements of retail business. Besides IBM technologies provide automation of key business processes, allow to control accounting in each retail outlet, assure data adequacy and meet terms of business document storage.

MTS Retail chain uses stream data input system ABBYY FlexiCapture for recognition of documents submitted into EWS. Manifold capabilities of the solution for data extraction from structured documents and its flexible client-server architecture completely complies with tremendous tasks and specific character of the project. ABBYY FlexiCapture, integrated with IBM FileNet, scans and recognizes 30 kinds of initial accounting documents submitted from MTS retail outlets throughout Russia. ABBYY solution automatically determines document type, at that documents of various types can be processed in succession. ABBYY FlexiCapture extracts from them all the necessary attributes (outlet code, date and amount stated in document), whereupon recognized data and scan-copies of documents are transferred to electronic archive for further processing.

The system is rated for several thousand users. Under cooperation project teams of SITRONICS IT and MTS Retail chain on the basis of integrated platform IBM FileNet and ABBYY FlexiCapture created single arranged document storage that consists of operating storage (open period) and archive storage (archival periods)

Due to implementation of centralized electronic workflow system based on IBM FileNet it was possible to achieve automation of initial documentation verification process (verification of scanned paper document and electronic document in single 1C base is conducted in automated mode) and provide drawing up operating reports about verified documentation in real time mode.

Presently hardware part of single EWS of MTS Retail chain consists of 8 servers IBM X3650 and 2 servers IBM X3200. The system is deeply integrated with existing IT infrastructure in particular with 1C system. Thus loading and automatic updating of reference books between 1С RD and IBM FileNet is realized, seamless integration with corporate system of information security and access rights partition are provided.
