OREANDA-NEWS. November 14, 2011. It was considered during the meeting between the Minister of economy Valeriu Lazar and Anatoliy Kinakh, the chairman of parliamentary group of Verkhovnaya Rada of Ukraine for inter-parliamentary relations to Moldova and President of the Ukrainian Guild of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

It was said that bilateral trading volume made up USD 492 mln, increasing by 35% as compared to the same period of the previous year, with Transdnestrian figures being left aside. Ukraine is the third among the biggest trading partners of Moldova. Valeriu Lazar and Anoliy Kinakh welcomed the activity recommencement of the Moldova and Ukraine intergovernmental committee for economy cooperation which ad been inactive for nearly 5 years.

Anatoliy Kinakh suggests including in the agenda of the meeting to be held in Chisinau the recommendations which have been made at Moldova and Ukraine Business forum pointes out the authorities are to give more consideration to development of public and private partnerships, bilateral investment projects, property rights mutual protection, including private companies one.

Private investments are of primary importance in economic development, but they are possible only if the economy of a country is transparent, legal system is working and competitiveness is fair.
