OREANDA-NEWS. November 14, 2011. The authoritative British guide The Lonely Planet has identified the top ten countries in the world which are worth visiting in 2012. The rating included also our country - Ukraine has taken in a rating the third place along with Uganda (Africa) and Myanmar (Burma), having outrun Jordan and Denmark.

Speaking about Ukraine, The Lonely Planet advises tourists to get acquainted with "the great unknown place in Europe." The publication mentions Odessa, Kyiv, the impressive nature of coast of the Crimean coast. Also the guide advises be sure to visit the city that will host Euro 2012, and Chernobyl.

Uganda has won the first place and ahead of Ukraine on the two steps. The Lonely Planet offers tourists visit the valley of the Nile River, savannah and jungle. In addition, this year Uganda celebrates the 50th anniversary of its independence - in the capital, Kampala city, there will be organized vivid and unforgettable holiday.

Second place in the ranking was taken by Myanmar (Burma), which is famous for its white sandy beaches, surrounded by mountains. In the country, there are many ancient towns and pagodas.

Fourth place - Jordan. The publication called Jordan one of the most open, hospitable and also most accessible to travelers from the Middle East. The Lonely Planet offers to visit Wadi Rum, Jerash and Madaba.

Fifth place - Denmark. Travelling on cities of Denmark will especially interest people who like to travel by bicycle - across the country extends to 10 thousand kilometers of bicycle trails.
Sixth place - Bhutan. Guide advises tourists to fly over the mountains surrounding the town of Paro; hike through the mountains of the western Bhutan and visit the Royal Manas National Park.
