OREANDA-NEWS. November 10, 2011. GTS-2011 was organized by Gazprom and Gazprom VNIIGAZ. The Conference brought together about 400 delegates from Gazprom’s subsidiary companies, scientists from Russian and foreign industrial institutes, experts of oil and gas companies. 

The Conference is devoted to development and operation of gas transmission systems in Russia and abroad, implementation of large-scale cutting-edge gas transportation projects and technical solutions for compressor station equipment.

GTS-2011 was opened by the First Deputy Head of Gas Transportation, Underground Storage and Utilization Department of Gazprom – Sergey Alimov.

The topics of four technical sessions of the Conference allowed participants to discuss issues and challenges arising in the area of design, construction, development and reconstruction of gas transmission systems; development of pipe production and welding technology, reliability and safety of gas transmission systems.

Within the framework of the Conference the similar Exhibition was organized.
