OREANDA-NEWS. TNK-BP participated in the Business Information Security Conference. Company specialists shared their experience in combating virtual threats both inside and outside the Company, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.  

The forum, set up by Vedomosti business media house this week, gathered over 50 representatives of business, government and expert communities at the round table.

The conference attendees reviewed the trends seen in contemporary IT threats, sharing their considerations as to what kind of technologies will be most appropriate and popular going forward. Mikhail Grishankov, First Deputy Chairman of Russian State Duma's Security Committee, and Roman Sheredin, Deputy Head of the Federal Telecommunications Oversight Authority (Roskomnadzor) explained the technical aspects of the information protection law. Stanislav Suleymanov, Director, TNK-BP Corporate Services Legal Support Department, described his vision of the issue of countering illegal use of insider information and market manipulations.

Pavel Bryantsev, TNK-BP Vice-President, Information and Technical Security, noted the importance of this conference in the context of challenges faced today by the Company's IT infrastructure. "We are satisfied that TNK-BP moves in the mainstream of new technologies," he said, "As regards implementation of some unique innovations in the IT security area, TNK-BP pioneers the entire industry."
