OREANDA-NEWS. November 09, 2011. 7th China's Anhui Investment and Trade Expo and 11th China (Hefei) High-Tech Fair opened on the night of November 8 at Olympic Sports Center Stadium in Hefei. The Expo this time focused on the theme of " innovation, cooperation, win-win development".

He Houhua, vice chairman with CPPCC, declared open of the Expo and secretary Zhang Baoshun delivered a speech. Zhan Xialai, a standing member of CPC Anhui Provincial Committee and executive governor presided over the opening ceremony. A total of 4500 people from all walks of life attended the opening ceremony.

Zhang Baoshun first welcomed all the distinguished guests to Anhui and thanked them for their long-term support. He said the Expo is an important platform for Anhui to display development achievements and widen exchanges.

Zhang pointed out Anhui has a long history and it is deep in culture and rich in natural resources. He said that Anhui has achieved a lot in comprehensive strength, urban-rural development and the improvement of people's livelihood by seizing the opportunity of promoting the rise of mid-west of China and enlarging domestic demand, sticking to two-wheel driving of industrialization and urbanization. With the construction of Wanjiang City Belt, National Pilot Province in Technological Innovation and the Rise of Northern Anhui, Anhui will embrace golden development period.

After the ceremony, the art performance of "Jianghuai Sings" was held. The performance displayed the picturesque scenery of Anhui and splendid culture in the form of arts.
