OREANDA-NEWS. November 08, 2011. The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine proposes to amend the Rules of transportation of passengers, baggage, cargo and mail by railway transport of Ukraine, which introduced a new classification of passenger trains.

The need for the amendment arose in connection with the development of a new classification system for passenger trains in accordance with the Decree of President of Ukraine "On National Action Plan for 2011 to implement the program of economic reforms for 2010-2014 "The wealthy society, competitive economy, effective state", and also with purchase of new railway vehicles within the frameworks of preparation for the European Football Championship 2012.

Thus, depending on routing speed, the classification speed of passenger trains will be introduced: trains daily - + InterCity (IC +), InterCity (IC), Regional Express (RE), a Regional Train (T), Suburban Train (S), Urban Train (U) and Night Trains - high-speed night-express (NE), night fast (NF), night passenger (NP).

The draft order has been indicated requirements and to the exterior design of passenger trains. So, on wagons which are included in a railroad train, in certain places icons for identification by passengers of a type of a train, a category of a car and services provided are put. It is indicated by icons: places for sitting and a class of a car berths and a category of a car of a place for passengers with children; a smoking prohibition; a dining-car; a car-bar; air conditionings; a car with compartments for the carriage of passengers disabled people; a car with provision of services WiFi.
