OREANDA-NEWS. November 08, 2011. Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine (AGMK) and Uzkabel open joint stock company in form of joint venture will launch joint venture on production of power cables with the cost of USD 4 million. 

Metalinfo.ru reported quoting Prime that the enterprise will be created on parity and it will produce power cables with the capacity of 500 kilovolt. The capacity of the enterprise makes up 6,000 km a year.

It is expected that the enterprise will be placed at Navoi free industrial and economic zone. AGMK and Uzkabel will finance the project due to own resources.

It is planned that the enterprise will start production of power cables in the second half of 2013.
