OREANDA-NEWS. November 3, 2011. In early October 2011 in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan the II-inter-regional banking conference was held (IBC 2011), organized by the Moscow International Currency Association (MICA). The theme of the conference was: Banks in the Russian Regions: the Prospects for Growth.

During the Conference, an assessment was made of the current state of affairs in the Russian banking system, and the prospects for its development with an emphasis on the Russian regions. In addition, a variety of views were presented on regulatory issues, pressing issues related to new requirements regarding the capitalization of banks, the maintenance of sustainability and stability in the system, increasing the profitability of financial services, and creating new offers and products.

The conference was attended by more than 230 managers and employees of banks, associations, stock exchanges, financial brokerage and investment companies, experts and analysts, and media representatives. The conference was attended by representatives from countries such as Austria, Britain, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Switzerland, as well as from dozens of cities across the Russian Federation.

During the working visit of the delegation from Novikombank, which was headed by the Vice-President and Head of the Department for Integrated Services for Financial Institutions, Yuliya Ershova, talks were held with leading banks in Kazan: AK BARS Bank, Tatfondbank, Spurt Bank, IntechBank, Bank of Kazan, Tatsotsbankom, BTA Bank (Kazan), Tatagroprombank, etc. During the meeting the sides discussed plans for cooperation in various fields, including in the interbank markets, FX, securities, banknote transactions, trade finance transactions, etc.
