OREANDA-NEWS. November 3, 2011. Novikombank attended the SWIFT SIBOS 2011 international financial forum, which took place in late September 2011 in Toronto. The event annually brings together over 6,000 participants from nearly 200 countries, representatives from the world's largest banks, financial institutions and corporations, as well as consultants, developers and suppliers of equipment and solutions for the financial sector.

At the plenary and section meetings of the forum a wide range of pressing problems were discussed regarding the global financial industry, including the state of the international financial markets and ways to improve their infrastructure, the development of national and cross-border payments, interaction between banks and large corporations, the development of new financial services, etc. A special session at the forum was devoted to discussing topics related to the economic and financial situation in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Novikombank was represented at the forum by its Vice-President Elena Shirinskaya. During the forum a representative from Novikombank held a series of fruitful meetings with representatives from foreign banks: Commerzbank AG, Deutsche Bank AG, LBBW, ING Bank, Raiffeisen Bank International AG, Bayern LB, JPMorgan Chase Bank, VTB Bank (Deutschland) AG, Banco Popolare, State Bank of India, Union Bank of India, Intesa Sanpaolo, Bank UBI, DZ Bank, Oberbank etc.

As a result of these negotiations Novikombank gained new international partners, and in the future this will enable funding for the Bank’s clients to be arranged for at more attractive rates.
