Cathay Pacific Airways is once again offering senior citizens in Hong Kong and Macau a special discount of 20 per cent on tickets to a number of popular destinations in celebration of Senior Citizens’ Day, which this year falls on 20 November, reported the press-centre of Cathay Pacific Airways.

This is the 12th consecutive year for the airline to offer the discount and thank those who helped to turn Hong Kong into the successful city it is today. Many seniors keep a close eye on the newspapers in November for details of the annual travel discounts, excited about the opportunity to travel to their favourite destinations.

Hong Kong and Macau residents aged 65 and over can enjoy a 20 per cent discount when purchasing Economy and Business Class tickets to selected Cathay Pacific destinations. Tickets must be issued between 1- 21 November 2011 for travel between 1 November 2011 and 31 March 2012. Blackout periods apply over Christmas and the Chinese New Year period.

The 2011 seniors’ promotion includes many of Cathay Pacific’s most popular regional destinations, including Singapore and Taipei, as well as long-haul destinations such as London, San Francisco, and Sydney.
