OREANDA-NEWS. November 02, 2011. Ukraine supports the intensification of trade and economic cooperation with Korea. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Volodymyr Bandurov during a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine H.E. Kim Eun-joong.

"The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine attaches great importance to developing trade and economic cooperation with countries of East Asia, and aims to support diverse cooperation with the Republic of Korea," Volodymyr Bandurov has noted.

The Deputy Minister has marked that today is an important matter of preparing and carrying out the First Session of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian- Korean Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation in Seoul in December this year. He has expressed confidence that it would promote to intensify bilateral contacts.

Volodymyr Bandurov has also noted that Ukraine is interested in the issue of Korea's experience of public private partnership.

"We support the development of our relations and primarily through creation of joint ventures in the automotive, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding and other industries," the Deputy Minister has underlined.

In turn, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in Ukraine H.E. Kim Eun-joong has noted that his country looks forward to active cooperation with Ukraine in energy, transport, light industry, shipbuilding, IT sector and in energy conservation.
