OREANDA-NEWS. November 01, 2011.The International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA), the country’s largest credit institution, has stepped up its operations in the market of plastic cards.

The Bank reports that for the last 9 months the IBA installed new cash machines in 18 inhabited localities and POS-terminals at 736 trade and service companies.

The park of cash machines grew up to 623 and POS terminals up to 3,668.

The IBA market share on cash machines made up 32% and on POS terminals 32.4%.

Since early 2011 the Bank has issued 60,000 new cards, bringing their number up to 1,822,392. The market share here reached 33%.
