OREANDA-NEWS. November 01, 2011. Uzbekneftegaz national holding company and Indorama Group (Singapore) are planning to create joint venture on constriction of gas-chemical complex in Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan in the first quarter of 2012. The project cost is US.5 billion.

In line with the project schedule, approved by the government, it is planned to prepare preliminary feasibility study of the project by the end of 2011. The sides are planning to sign constituent agreement of the venture in early 2012. The sides will have equal share in the venture.

The project envisages construction of gas-chemical complex with the capacity of 500,000 tonnes of polyethylene a year. The plant will be constructed within four years.

The project will be financed due to resources, attracted by Indorama, loans of Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan, and own resources of Uzbekneftegaz.
