OREANDA-NEWS. November 01, 2011. PwC was presented an award from St Petersburg University Graduate School of Management (GSOM SPbU) “For contributions to developing promising managers”, reported the press-centre of PwC.

The award ceremony took place during Top 250: the Second Annual Northwest Big Business Forum organised by the media holding Expert. The Forum is devoted to ranking the region’s top 250 companies. The ranking is then published in Northwest Expert magazine. GSOM SPbU is the official academic partner of the Forum.

The Top 250 ranking is a reflection of the achievements of the largest regional companies, and the key criterion in the evaluation is annual sales revenue. This year, industrial companies at the federal level have also been included. In 2011, Gazprom Neft, Severstal and Sibir holding lead the Top 250 companies in Northwest Russia.

Julian Smith participated in the panel discussion on "Northwest Business: our perspectives tomorrow" together with representatives of the St Petersburg City Administration, top management of the largest Northwest companies, as well as representatives of GSOM SPbU.

The conversation continued during the round table discussions dedicated to various problematic issues in regional economic development.

The Forum concluded with the award ceremony. Dmitry Volkov, SPbU Associate Vice-Rector and Director of MBA Programmes at GSOM SPbU, presented PwC’s representative with the award from the Graduate School of Management “For contributions to developing promising managers”.
