OREANDA-NEWS. October 31, 2011. International Safety and Security Fair FinnSec-2011 was held in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, on October 12-14. Such famous companies as Siemens, Schneider Electric, Samsung Electronics, Saab Systems Oy presented their equipment at this prestigious forum.

The stand presenting fire robotics produced by Engineering Centre of Fire Robots Technology FR from Karelia was very popular among the visitors. In particular, the stand demonstrated the landing fire robot that may be used for suppression of forest fires, and the industrial fire robot for protection of objects of oil-and-gas complexes, plane hangars, atomic power plants.

During the fair Karelian specialists have held negotiations with representatives of STUK - Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority that deals with the Leningrad and Kola nuclear power plants. Negotiations were also held with representatives of Leningrad nuclear power plant concerning replacement of fire robots installed there in the 1990s by modern equipment.

FR participated in the exhibition at the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Karelia. This year the company has won the competition in the line of state support of research and development of Karelia, and with support of the grant experts of the project office of FR have finished the project on creation of essentially new samples of fire equipment.
