OREANDA-NEWS. October 31, 2011. In the framework of a two-day working visit of Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Tatarstan delegation, which included Shafagat Takhautdinov, General Director of TATNEFT, visited Turkmenistan, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT. 

The delegation of Tatarstan took part in celebrations on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Turkmenistan independence. During the visit, a meeting was held with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkmenistan, where Turkmenistan's cooperation with TATNEFT was discussed among other issues. Tatarstan representatives also met with Annaguly Deryaev, Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmenneft" and discussed the issues of implementation of the Contract between TATNEFT and the State Concern "Turkmenneft" for rendering services in the South-eastern sector of oil field No. 4 of NGDU "Goturdepenebit."

The relationship between TATNEFT and SC "Turkmenneft" is being developed in the framework of cooperation as set out by the relevant Agreement between the Republic of Tatarstan and Turkmenistan dated June 28, 2008 and the Protocol on cooperation in the oil and gas sector, signed by TATNEFT and the State Concern "Turkmenneft" in July, 2008.

The subject of the Service Contract signed between the Parties is rendering of services aimed at improving oil recovery of existing well stock and further use of the potential for production of crude oil at Goturdepe oil field. The Contract term is 7 years.

In February 2011 TATNEFT received an official document of registration of its branch office in Turkmenistan: Certificate (SAHADATNAMA), issued by the Ministry of Economy and Industrial Development of the Republic of Turkmenistan.

The branch of TATNEFT performs works related to execution of the Contract between TATNEFT and the State Concern "Turkmenneft" on rendering services in the South-eastern sector of oil field No. 4, NGDU "Goturdepenebit" of SC "Turkmenneft", which came into force on November 3, 2010.
