OREANDA-NEWS. October 31, 2011. III Annual Business Forum of the “Vedomosti” Newspaper - “Developing Small and Medium Business; Government Directions and Real Practice” - took place, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Attendees included representatives of the federal bodies, regional and municipal authorities, representatives of supervisory and controlling services of different levels, the heads of associations and industry unions that support entrepreneurs, top-managers of Russian and foreign banks, investment companies and funds, credit organizations and the heads of small and medium businesses.

The main items of the agenda were government programmes for entrepreneurs, administrative barriers, corruption, taxation, and tax administration.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) was represented by the Head of Department for Control over the Authorities, Vladimir Mishelovin.

His presentation was about the key results of FAS efforts to support small and medium business. Forum participants were especially interested in the information about certification of the Antimonopoly Service under the international quality system ISO-9001.

“FAS has built up a system of cooperation with the business community that provides reliable feed-back from entrepreneurs evaluating the results of the work of the Antimonopoly Service and expert opinions on the key problems of developing competition on various markets. This system comprises a Public Advisory Council and 24 Expert Councils. The Public Advisory Council has 82 regional branches formed in every constituent territory of the Russian Federation on the basis of the regional offices of FAS Russia. Over 1000 representatives of public organizations, associations and unions of entrepreneurs take part in their work”, said Vladimir Mishelovin.
