OREANDA-NEWS. October 28, 2011. On these days, the conference “Quality improvement is the basis of long-term relations” is being held at KAMAZ within the limits of the Days of Quality in the Republic of Tatarstan. The auto giant invited its business partners – more than 70 suppliers of components, metal, materials from different cities of Russia and abroad to discuss urgent issues of quality.

The participants were greeted by Alexander Abramenko, Director of Quality Department of OJSC KAMAZ, at the plenary meeting. According to Ildar Mingaleev, Tatarstan’s Minister of Industry and Trade, the Republic of Tatarstan is the only region in Russia where the Week of Quality is held within the limits of the World’s Day of Quality. Deputy Minister said, “The conference at KAMAZ crowns this rich program, and I’m glad that the circle of participants worried about implementation of advanced developments is so wide.”

Guests from Moscow, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Tolyatti, Volgograd addressed the meeting. Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Register Certification Association, educational and consulting centers touched upon the issues of the national policy in the sphere of quality and reformation of technical regulation, improvement of quality management, certification, integration of the QMS and Lean Manufacturing within the limits of development of production systems of enterprises. Managers of joint ventures – ZF KAMA, KNORR-BREMSE KAMA, CUMMINS KAMA, Federal Mogul Naberezhnye Chelny – addressed the meeting too. They mainly touched upon various aspects of introduction of requirements of the ISO/TS 16949:2009 standard.

Today is a day of practice for the participants of the conference: they are working in breaking groups in the shops of the automobile plant, the engine plant and joint ventures, and also in the executive directorate of KAMAZ.

They will share their impressions of these theoretical and practical activities at the final plenary meeting.
