Ukraine, IMF May Agree not to Rise Tariffs for Gas for Population
OREANDA-NEWS. October 28, 2011. The Government comes from a position that it will be possible to find mutual understanding with the IMF and not to increase now tariffs for gas and thermal energy for the population. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has declared it during a conversation with the staff of the State Enterprise Yuzhnoye Design Bureau named after M.K. Yangel.
"We are expected by uneasy, complex negotiations, but we expect to achieve mutual understanding," Mykola Azarov has underlined, making comments on negotiating process with the IMF.
The Prime Minister expects on the successful completion of gas negotiations with the Russian Federation that together with implementation of programs of power efficiency and an energy-saving will allow not increasing tariffs for the population.
The Prime Minister has stressed that all points of the program of cooperation with the IMF are fulfilled, and he expects positive results of operation of the IMF mission in Ukraine.
