OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2011. Azerbaijan - Switzerland Business Forum organized by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development held in Baku on October 27.

The event brought together over 100 businessmen engaged in finance and banking, industry, trade, property, health, education and other sectors, alongside with officials from Azerbaijan and Switzerland.

Niyazi Safarov, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development gave information on country's economy, ongoing reforms and achieved successes in the business forum. It was noted that Azerbaijan has gained rapid economic development, the entrepreneurship has expanded, favorable investment and business climate was created pursuant to the economic reforms and large-scale works founded by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and pursued by the President of Azerbaijan Republic Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

State Councillor in charge of the Department of Health and Economy of the Republic and State of Geneva Mr.Pierre Francois Unger expressed his satisfaction for his visit to Azerbaijan and stressed his country's interest for further boosting relations with Azerbaijan and assurance further development of cooperation between two countries, and both countries have great potential to enchance relations. Sabine Ulman, the Ambassador of Switzerland to Azerbaijan, emphasized the significance of business forum and business-like meetings in widening cooperation between both countries.
