OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2011. In its Regional Economic Outlook: Middle East and Central Asia IMF notes fasting growth of merchandise export from Azerbaijan.

IMF reports that in 2011 merchandise export from Azerbaijan will total USD 35.4 bn and in 2012 rise to USD 37.5 bn. At that this year the Fund expects goods import for USD 16.7 bn and in 2012- for USD 18 bn.

As a result in 2011 the Fund forecasts trade balance surplus in Azerbaijan for USD 18.7 bn and in 2012- for USD 19.5 bn.
