OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2011. Specialists of TITAN-2 Holding’s subsidiary - Installation and Construction Directorate No. 90 have completed repair works at the production facilities of Acron, JSC (Velikiy Novgorod).

The last operation related to large capacity equipment installation carried out by specialists fro MSU-90, JSC was a successful installation of a 10-ton-collector. These works were carried out within the frameworks of retrofitting of ammonium production air coolers of unit No.2 in the course of which some sections of air coolers were replaced, as well as the process pipelines.

In the course of these works the assemblers of MSU-90, JSC welded the pipelines with diameter 457mm and the walls up to 57mm thick. To perform such non-standard welding not only the special equipment is required for the thermal treatment of metal but the high qualification of welders as well. The welded joints were checked in the laboratory of MSU-90, JSC which is one of the best specialized laboratories in North-western Federal District.

Besides that, in the process of ammonium production reconstruction by the specialists from MSU-90, JSC the complicated works were successfully completed to replace 50 50 condencers-dephlegmators of the vacuum extraction system, the total weight of which was over 300 tons.

Cooperation between TITAN-2 Holding and Acron Group within the frameworks of retrofitting of production facilities has been lasting for several years already. In 2008, MSU-90, JSC took part in the works related to upgrading of unit No.1, and in 2010 - in upgrading of unit No.2. The main purposes of the chemical plant facilities reconstruction are to stabilize the work of equipment, to increase their daily output and to reduce power consumption.

The total cost of mechanical and repair works performed by the workers of MSU-90 in the current year was about 25 mln roubles.
