TatNIPIneft Develops New Technologies in Well Workover
OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2011. A new development of TatNIPIneft experts is retrievable bridging plug packers, which are used to shut off the wellbore in case of repair and isolation works, geophysical survey operations and treatments of overlying strata, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.
Wire line bridge packers PO-60 are applied in the process of repair works for pressure testing, including selective interval testing of tubing strings and additional strings in the production and injection wells. They eliminate the need for running a pressure testing seat (valve) reducing the cost of operations performed. The technology has been implemented in more than 30 wells of TATNEFT.
Hydraulic layers separators are applied when sealing the production casing and shutting off the layers by cemented liners, which allow controlling the process of separation and avoiding complications resulting from pre-disconnection of the liner. The technology has been implemented in 10 wells of TATNEFT.
Hydraulic whipstocks for flexible pipe developed by TatNIPIneft are successfully used in the repair of multilateral wells. They are distinguished by simplicity of design and a guaranteed hit into the planned wellbore. They have been implemented in 16 wells of TATNEFT.
Drillable packers PR-K-102 (114) are applied to temporarily shut off the productive strata without cementing at the time of repair operations and geophysical survey of the overlying layers and other processes. The drillable packers have been used in more than 30 wells of TATNEFT.
Wellhead vibrators are applied in case of eliminating downhole complications associated with the equipment sticking in the wells during operation and workover. The wellhead vibrators are also simple in design and reliable. The economic efficiency of their application amounts to 52.5 thousand rubles per 1 well operation. The device has been installed in 14 wells of TATNEFT.
A metal patch PMR-146 has been designed for sealing the production casing, which is installed by expanding a round steel pipe. The designed patch allows sealing sections of the string from several dozens to hundreds of meters long with a decrease in internal diameter not exceeding 10 mm and resistant to depression of 18 MPa. Individual sections of the patch are assembled with threaded connections. The patch has been installed in 56 wells.
A device has been developed allowing to extract the previously installed metal patch in one run on the tubing string, as well as the longitudinally corrugated patch "Dorn". The device has been introduced into 12 wells.
All the mentioned developments of TatNIPIneft reduce the duration and cost of the wells workover, as well as increase their effectiveness.
