OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2011.In preparation for the successful implementation of the 2012 production program, the 1st construction stage of the workers’ housing facility was completed at JSC Khiagda before winter set in. In the near future, about 100 employees will be comfortably accommodated in these buildings. The first construction phase of the stage is equipped with power and a water supply, as well as a heating system, and is capable of housing up to 200 people. Commissioning this camp is a step forward in the facility’s development towards its full estimated capacity.

JSC Khiagda is located in the Buryat Republic and engaged in the commercial production of uranium at the Khiagdinskoe ore field using the in-situ leaching method. Uranium production in 2010 amounted to 135.1 bln tons.
