OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2011. Invited by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council ("SASAC") and Ambassador of Belgium Patrick Nijs, Capt. Wei Jiafu, Chairman of COSCO Group attended a power luncheon in honor of visiting HRH Prince Philippe and his senior delegation in China World Summit Wing Hotel, reported the press-centre of COSCO Group.

Co-organized by SASAC and the Embassy of Belgium, this luncheon aims to provide a business platform for enterprises both from China and Belgium, and was attended by the HRH Prince Philippe, Chairman Wang Yong, Vice Chairman Huang Shuhe, Vice Chairman of Huang Danhua of SASAC, Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium and Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs and Institutional Reform HE Steven Vanackere, Ambassador of Belgium to China Mr. Patrick Nijs, Heads of both Chinese and Belgian enterprises, and other 40  distinguished guests from SASAC and Belgian delegation.

Before the luncheon, Capt. Wei recalled the pleasant discussion with HRH Prince Philippe at the World Economic Forum in Davos this January, and expressed his gratitude again for the honorary recognition that King Albert II of Belgium awarded Capt. Wei the Commander in the Order of Leopold II ( CommandeurOrden Van Leopold II) in October 2005 to commend COSCO's efforts in the economic development of Belgium.
