OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2011. Stats-Secretary, Deputy Head of FAS Russia Andrey Tsarikovskiy had a meeting with First Deputy Minister of State Administration for Industry and Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (SAIC), Ms. Gan Lin, who was on a working visit in Russia, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The meeting took place under the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) and State Administration for Industry and Commerce of the People’s Republic of China towards implementing the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on Cooperation in the field of fighting unfair competition and developing antimonopoly policy for 2010-2011.

The parties discussed advertising regulations in Russia and China, the modern state of advertising industry in both countries, and experience in control over advertising and mass media. The parties also discussed specifics of advertising regulation, misleading advertising, and protection from unfair competition in Russia and China. SAIC delegation learned about the main provisions of the Law of the Russian Federation “On Advertising” as well as specific examples of considering cases on violating Russian law on advertising.

As part of the visit, SAIC delegation visited Leningrad OFAS Russia to study work experience of regional offices of FAS Russia in control over advertising law.
