Joint Cash Machine Network to Unite 270 ATMs in Lithuania
OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2011. From October this year the joint cash machine network of Ukio bankas, Citadele bank, Nordea and Danske banks is joined by Siauliu bankas, reported the press-centre of Ukio bankas.
In several nearest months 40 ATMs of Siauliu bankas will be connected to the joint network of cash withdrawal machines. It is Lithuania’s fourth largest cash machine network soon to cover 270 ATMs in 47 towns and small towns of the country, while in the Baltic States it will network 470 cash machines.
“After the gradual connection of Siauliu bankas cash machines to the joint ATM network in several coming months, Ukio bankas clients will have the chance to use a yet larger number of ATMs whose geography will also extend. Consequently, the advantages offered by the joint cash machine network will provide still more convenience,” Jurate Kajackiene, director of Ukio bankas Payment Cards Department, said.
Ukio bankas payment cardholders will be able to use all joint cash machines under the same terms and conditions which are set in the applicable fees of the Bank. The clients are not recommended to use Siauliu bankas cash machines carrying unchanged markings as they are not connected to the joint network and, therefore, preferential terms of cash withdrawal are not applied to individual groups of clients using them.
The joint network’s cash machines have a single design, unite the logos and colours of all the five banks and are marked with red and blue strips. The most recent list of cash machines and their addresses is available on Ukio bankas website www.ub.lt. The holders of iPhone and Android smart phones are offered to use special software allowing them to conveniently and rapidly find the nearest ATM of the network across Lithuania. This Ukio bankas software may be downloaded by all smart phone holders from Apple Store or Android Market free of charge.
