OREANDA-NEWS. October 25, 2011. Sviaz-Bank has been named among the biggest mortgage-issuing banks in six months of 2011, according to the rankings published by the RBC.Rating Agency. The Agency placed Sviaz-Bank tenth for the total amount of mortgage-backed loans made in six months of this year, an increase of 756% over a similar period of last year and the Bank’s own absolute record since it launched its line of mortgage products in 2009.

Over six months of 2011, the Bank issued more than 1,500 mortgage-backed loans totaling 3.1billion rubles. Programs for customers with positive credit history and servicemen, both accounting for upward of 40% of mortgages issued, enjoy the greatest popularity among the Bank’s borrowers.

The gathering growth rates of Sviaz-Bank’s mortgages are confirmed in the Expert RA Agency’s preliminary studies of the Russian mortgage market in the year’s six months just published, which rank the Bank 16th for the amount of housing loans it issued.
