OREANDA-NEWS. October 25, 2011. UNDP/GEF projects on energy efficiency supported the establishment of the Association to promote and popularize the ideas and new technology on energy-efficiency - Alliance of Legal Entities “Kazakhstan Association of high-tech energy efficient and innovation companies” (ALE “KAHTEIK”).

The Association activity will be aimed at the development of energy-efficient technology and manufacturing, introduction of energy-efficient technology, equipment and materials while processing, distributing and using energy, and promotion of the accelerated industrial and innovation programme of the country.

Among other priorities of “KAHTEIK” work is to stimulate the ecological designing and construction practices, to introduce the passive house standards, to promote professional engineering services for residential, administrative and buildings.

It is planned, that “Kazakhstan Association of high-tech energy efficient and innovation companies” will actively collaborate with state bodies, public foundations, scientific and educational institutions, mass media to further improve the state innovation policy and investment attractiveness of energy saving and energy-efficient technology.      

In the environmental context, “KAHTEIK” will focus on decrease of energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions assist in wider use of renewable energy sources in civil and industrial sectors of economy, as well as general improvement of living conditions of the population by diminishing impact on the environment.
