OREANDA-NEWS. October 25, 2011. Baosteel Engineering&Technology Group's first building energy-saving construction renovation project achieved remarkable results. Reporter learns from  Jinjiang Group Magnolia Hotel  contracted energy management project completion and acceptance ceremony that: by the end of August this year, after six months of smooth running, Magnolia Hotel actual energy consumption reduction reaches 32.1% , which is not only 7 percentage points beyond the pre-set target , but also effectively reduces carbon dioxide emissions. The project management has "double" benefit in capital income and energy saving, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.

In November last year, Baosteel Engineering &Technology Group and Jinjiang Group signed a Magnolia Hotel contracted energy management agreement. Agreement agreed to the use of Baosteel Engineering's air-cooling heat pump technology to help achieve energy saving in Magnolia Hotel and enhance economic efficiency.

To this end, a special project team was set up by Baosteel Engineering. It goes to site and focuses on hotel energy consumption research and data collection. Based on full communication with the owner, it developed air-cooling heat pump in replace of oil-fired boiler, added automatic control system, hot water storage tank and other technological lines and won final success.

It is known that the parties have started preliminary work on two other buildings' energy-saving project.
