Government of Ukraine Plans to Avoid Rising of Tariffs for Gas
OREANDA-NEWS. October 25, 2011. It is not currently scheduled any increasing of tariffs for gas for the population. It was declared by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov during interview to the program "ТСН" on the "1+1" TV channel.
"We are adjusted on agreeing with the Russian Federation, to agree about the acceptable price for gas," Mykola Azarov has noted, having stated that the last meeting with the Chairman of the Government of Russia Vladimir Putin gives grounds to suppose that "the arrangement close enough."
"For this reason, we do not plan now any increases of tariffs for gas," the Head of Government of Ukraine has assured.
At the same time, he has added that "if the killing price for the gas would be maintained, which complying with the agreement of January 2009, then we should get the hopeless situation in which rising of the tariffs would be the only way out.
"We are simply will in a hopeless situation and we will be forced to go for it," Mykola Azarov has told.
However, currently the Prime Minister of Ukraine estimates a situation optimistically.
"Let us will not run forward and we will not frighten that "a bird of good luck" which, I think, nevertheless should be touched down to Ukraine at last," the Head of Government has told.
