OREANDA-NEWS. October 25, 2011. Ukraine guarantees the reliability and stability of gas supplies to Europe. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov on Inter TV channel.

"The guarantee a reliable supply of gas to Europe is necessary for Russia. We are urge of our Russian partners that we are prepared to ensure the reliability and stability of deliveries of gas by the means of the new agreement conclusion - this is our main argument," Mykola Azarov has noted, having underlined that new gas contracts will promote it.

At the same time, the Head of Government has once again stressed the need for revising of enslaving gas contracts 2009, according to which Ukraine now buys gas at the highest price in Europe.

Mykola Azarov has noted that Ukraine plans to reduce volumes of usage of natural gas. "Sooner or later we will be to reduce volumes of usage of the Russian gas," the Prime Minister has underlined.
