Ukraine Established Licensing and Quota on Cars from Uzbekistan
OREANDA-NEWS. October 24, 2011. In order to implement measures in response to the discriminatory actions of the Republic of Uzbekistan Government of Ukraine in the period up to November 14, 2014 established a regime for licensing the import of cars from the country of origin of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the framework of the quota - 3 cars per year.
We recall that the Uzbek party violated article 3 of the Agreement between Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on free trade, which provides that the parties refrain from taking discriminatory measures against each other, namely the Republic of Uzbekistan sets rates of excise duty on excisable goods manufactured by enterprises of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and goods imported into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which make it impossible to export cars from Ukraine in this country. Introduced excise tax on imported goods motor increases the cost, the least in half. This makes it uncompetitive in the domestic market of the Republic of Uzbekistan. At the same time on the territory of Ukraine, the excise tax on new cars, are the same for car manufacturers and exporters. And for trucks, buses and components do not apply at all.
