OREANDA-NEWS. October 24, 2011. HRT Participacoes em Petroleo S.A. (“Company” or “HRT”) (BM&FBOVESPA: HRTP3, TSX-V: HRP), continuing the process of disclosing the progress of the well drilling in the areas under concession, announces the status of operations with position on today’s date at 3:00pm.

Well 1-HRT-1-AM

The processes for assembling the production plant have been finalized. The well has been perforated and is at test column lowering phase. The first formation test should be carried out over the coming days.

Well 1-HRT-2-AM

Current depth: 3,085m.

The well was cased and cemented. Next operation, drill five meters into the formation and carry out the Dry Test. After this test, we will begin the drilling process of the 4th phase*.

Zone of interest forecast for depth between 3,100m and 3,500m.

Well 1-HRT-4-AM

Current depth: 2,173m.

Current status: Drilling the 3rd phase*, in the Carauari Formation. Zone of interest forecast for depth between 2,360m and 2,700m.

Well 1-HRT-5-AM

The QG IX rig was dissembled at the well 1-HRT-3-AM and it is being transported to Block SOL-T-192, to be assembled at the location 1-HRT-192/01.

* 3rd Phase: Drilling, logging and running the 95/8" intermediary casing.

4rd Phase: Drilling, logging, running the 7" liner, cementing and doing the production test.
