OREANDA-NEWS. October 24, 2011. In particular, there was a matter about it at the Second Ukrainian-Russian inter-regional economic forum "Scientific and technical cooperation of regions and inter-regional production cooperation", which has taken place in Donetsk. "At a forum, there have been discussed the Interregional Programme of measures for improvement of the Siverskyi Donets for the period till 2015," the Chairman of the State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine Pavlo Zhila has noted.

For this purpose, the State Agency of Water Resources and the Ministry for Protection of the Environment and Natural Resources of Ukraine, by preparation of the new Nation-wide development program of a water management of Ukraine for the period till 2020, is provided implementation of the basic water economic measures in the Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions, in particular on improvement of the health of river basin Siverskyi Donets.

The plan of appropriate events for 2012-2016 has already approved by the decision XIII meeting of the Coordination Council for Interregional Programme for the Protection and Usage of Water River Basin, which has taken place in Sloviansk in March, 2011.

This plan has been provided a comprehensive solution of issues on improving of an ecological situation in the river basin Siverskyi Donets, provision by qualitative water of the population and industries of economy by water supply optimization, implementation of the modern technologies of a sewage treatment, a water removal accomplishment on objects of housing and communal services, agricultural industry and the urbanized territories, implementation of the integrated system of inter-regional monitoring of waters in the river basin Siverskyi Donets.
