OREANDA-NEWS. October 24, 2011. Ukraine and Belarus have discussed issues of joint production of LED technology and development of cooperation in the field of pharmacology and agricultural engineering. This was discussed during the meeting by the Chairman of the State Agency for Science, Innovation and Informatization of Ukraine Volodymyr Semynozhenko with the Belarusian delegation headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus Sergiy Rakhmanov.

"Dialogue about the prospects of economic cooperation between Ukraine and Belarus is held in a fundamentally new context. One of these days the countries-participants CIS have concluded the agreement on free trade area. The Interstate program of innovative cooperation for the period until 2020 is accepted. Ukraine is considering a capability joining to the EurAsEC technical regulations. So, for a breakthrough in economy, the unique basis is created, which was not all 20 years of independence," Volodymyr Semynozhenko has told.

The sides have discussed the issues of joint production of LED technology. It has been noted that currently there are working on creation of the joint Ukrainian-Belarus enterprise for production of LED technology in accordance with the encased Memorandum in August of this year between the Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the State Agency for Science, Innovation and Informatization of Ukraine. Next year the leasing company established under this project will earn. Housing and communal services and industrial sector will be the basic customers of powerful LEDs. As the Belarus side has reported, the state order for LED technology in Belarus was increased by 15 %, hence, the state is very interested in joint production with Ukraine.
