OREANDA-NEWS. October 24, 2011. Innovative developments of TATNEFT providing for efficient exploitation of deposits are applied in the Belarus Republic. Specialists of BelNIPIneft with the scientific and technical support of TatNIPIneft scientists of TATNEFT implement the method of dual completion and production (DCP) of layers in the fields of the Republican unitary enterprise (RUE) "Belorusneft" Production Association", reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

DCP installations developed by the specialists of TatNIPIneft enable to simultaneously operate the layers with different reservoir characteristics and properties. Their application improves profitability of individual wells through connecting to the well other productive formations or layers of different productivity of the same development target. The well productivity is increased through optimization of the target formations production. Use of a single wellbore and organization of simultaneous (co-mingled) production of crude oil reserves from different layers of the development with application of a single well spacing pattern reduces the amount of drill footage. Thus, DCP technology allows to significantly optimize the cost of oil production.

In Belarus areas it has been decided to apply this technology in four wells of Rechitskoye field and in one well of Nadvinskoye field. The initiated pilot operations under DCP technology of the wells will enable concurrent production of crude oil from two horizons. This will improve the efficiency of oil field operation and the crude oil recovery factor.

As of October 1, 2011, DCP technology has been introduced in 937 producing wells of TATNEFT Company with the total additional crude oil production since the beginning of its application in the amount of 2,594.5 thousand tons. The average growth of crude oil production per well since the beginning of the installations' operation has amounted to 3.7 tons per day. As of February 1, 2011 installations for dual injection were implemented in 230 wells.

Today, the Company applies different designs with the basic ones being a single-lift DCP design for downhole sucker rod pumps (SRP), a dual-lift SRP-SRP with a separate lift of the well production and a DCP SRP-ESP design (with electric centrifugal pump) with joint and separate lifts of products. Also the dual production and injection and dual injection technologies are applied.
