OREANDA-NEWS. October 21, 2011. The output of above-scale industries in Hefei, Anhui's capital city, in the first three quarters surpassed 400 billion yuan, according to Hefei Municipal Government.

The report was unveiled after the adjustment of administration zones, according to which, Hefei included parts of Chaohu area.

Gao Xiaoguang, spokesman with Hefei Municipal Government, said that the growth rate of above-scale industries of Hefei from Jan to Aug topped that of all 26 capital cities in China, and it is expected to sustain the momentum in the first three quarters.

Hefei move upward 1 ranking and 4 rankings in increased industrial output and fiscal revenue in August respectively, after adjustment of administration areas.

Four districts, namely, Economic Development District, High Technological District, Xinzhan District and Chaohu Economic Development District have became engines driving industrial growth, as industrial output in these four districts accounted for nearly half of that in Hefei to more than 24.8 billion yuan.
