Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a leading consulting, business solutions and IT services organisation, today, announced that it has been ranked as the world’s 7th greenest company in Newsweek’s Green Rankings 2011. In addition, TCS is the highest-ranked Asia-based company and second-highest-ranked globally in the information technology and services company category. 

Newsweek’s Green Rankings assess each company’s environmental footprint, management of that footprint and transparency. The Green Rankings focus on the largest publicly-traded companies in America and worldwide. Each list consists of the largest 500 companies by revenue (most recent fiscal year), market capitalisation, and number of employees as of June 30, 2011.
