OREANDA-NEWS. October 21, 2011. Ma Zehua, President of COSCO Group met with He Lifeng, Member of the Standing Committee and Deputy Secretary of Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and the Party Secretary of Binhai New Area, reported the press-centre of COSCO.

Ma expressed his appreciation towards the long-term support of the governments of Binhai New Area and Tianjin to COSCO Group's business developments in Tianjin. He then introduced the recent operation status of COSCO's global business, saying that COSCO is willing to further collaborate with Tianjin in implementing its development strategies of building the city into a center of international shipping and logistics in northern China, and COSCO will contribute to the developments of Tianjin and the Binhai New Area.    

He Lifeng welcomed Ma's visit, saying that Tianjin is grateful for the contributions made by COSCO Group to the social and economic developments of Tianjin in the passing years. He briefed Ma on the planning and construction of Binhai New Area, and he said the city of Tianjin is ready to deepen its strategic partnership with COSCO and will provide highly efficient government service to back up COSCO's business progress in Tianjin.  

The meeting was also attended by COSCO Bulk Carriers Co (COSBULK)'s Managing Director Xu Zunwu, COSCO Bulk's deputy Managing Director Wei Qing and other officials from the Municipal Government of Tianjin.
