OREANDA-NEWS. October 21, 2011. GCL Sichuan Branch hosted “China-Italy Culture Carnival” Badminton Elite Invitational Tournament in Chengdu, reported the press-centre of GCL.
 
Many group insurance clients were invited. Teams from 16 world famous enterprises, including CNPC Southwest Oil and Gas Field Branch, Unocal Corporation, Texas Instruments, Bayer, International Paper, Lafarge, Standard Chartered Bank and Intel, participated in the Tournament.
 
After a fierce rivalry, based on outstanding performance and team strength, the team from Lafarge won the championship, relegating Intel team into second place and CNPC Southwest Oil and Gas Field Branch third. All the enterprises highly appreciated the organization ability and high-level service of GCL Sichuan Branch.
 
It is reported that Badminton Elite Invitational Tournament is one of the series of activities in “China-Italy Culture Carnival”, which is held for celebrating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Italy. These series of activities, including “Red Culture Tour in China” and “Italian Red Wine Tasting Dinner”, aimed to show the history and culture of the two countries, and provide more and better value-added services for clients.
