OREANDA-NEWS. October 19, 2011. OJSC KAMAZ participated in the interregional scientific and practical conference “Quality and Technical Regulation” which was held yesterday in Kazan within the limits of the World Quality Day and the European Quality Week.

The conference organized to increase competitiveness of Russian enterprises and organizations was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan. It gathered more than 200 people – managers of enterprises, representatives of ministries, educational and public institutions of Russia, Tatarstan, Chuvashia, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod and Samara Oblasts.

OJSC KAMAZ participated there not by chance. In the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan highly appreciated the company’s successful measures to meet international quality standards and invited the top managers of the auto giant to share their experience. KAMAZ was represented at the conference by Alexander Abramenko, Director of Quality Department, who spoke about “The system of assessment of product quality at production enterprises” there.

Within the frameworks of the conference, a republican contest “The best quality assurance manager of the Republic of Tatarstan’2011” was held. Having taken the lead over all competitors and shown the best results, Sergey Shanin, Deputy Director of Quality Department of OJSC KAMAZ, became a winner.
