Energy-Efficient Residential Building Will Be Built in Karaganda
OREANDA-NEWS. October 19, 2011. The construction of the first energy-efficient residential building in the framework of the state budget construction program has started in
The pilot project is jointly implemented by
“The idea of the pilot project is to demonstrate the possible energy-efficient design solutions in residential buildings construction”, UNDP Resident Representative Stephen Tull said, while visiting the project site in
To provide the technical and consultation assistance to the design company, UNDP/GEF Project employed experts from the leading Byelorussian scientific research institute NIPTIS.
It is expected, that the design and technology concepts, planned for this project, will be energy-efficient to the maximum possible extent. Thus, the design solutions of the building energy consumption will take into account the climatic parameters of its further use, heating and ventilation systems will allow for programming of the ventilation regime and inside temperature by the dwellers, thereby leading to the reduction of the building energy consumption and environmental impact.
Government of the RK/UNDP/GEF Project will co-finance the mentioned energy-efficient activities. Additionally, project experts will monitor energy consumption and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
The construction is to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2012.
