OREANDA-NEWS. October 19, 2011. Laboratory of production control of company limited “Polyom” (polypropylene production plant which is part of petrochemical cluster of the project PARK, the head of the project is deputy of State Duma Mikhail Sutyaginsky) is a two-story building of 1150 square meters total area where specialists will conduct analytical control of feedstock and ready products. The sampling is stipulated on each stage of technological process according to elaborated plans of analytical control according to requirements of licensor (which by the way are stricter than GOST requirements), reported the press-centre of Titan.

In the laboratory one will conduct quality control of input feedstock, technological process and ready products with spectral, chromatographic, physical-mechanical and other methods of analysis. The equipment of the laboratory is predominantly imported, its suppliers are companies with worldwide reputation: Mettler Toledo, Bruker, Varian, Perkin Elmer. The laboratory is equipped with chromatographs, microcoulometric titrators, atomic absorbtion spectrometers. In the opinion of “Polyom” specialists this is one of the most modern laboratories of such kind in Russia.

The laboratory will not only control quality of feedstock, finished products and conduct of the whole technological process, but also carry out activities aimed at improvement of polypropylene production process.

The number of laboratory employees according to the staff list is 35 persons. Now 18 employees are working, the rest of the personnel are selected and undergo procedure of employment. On October 10 4 specialists of the laboratory and one interpreter went for training to Ferrara (Italy). The training will last till October 21. The program of training includes detection of points for sampling, methods for feedstock and finished products control etc.
