Ukio Bankas Contributes to Population Training in Using Internet
OREANDA-NEWS. October 19, 2011. In October-November AB Ukio bankas and Kaunas County Public Library are organising training courses for the population ‘Working with Computer and on the Internet: A Primer’, reported the press-centre of Ukio bankas.
The trainees will be taught to use computer, work with documents, browse the Internet, also will practically test the opportunities of the internet banking system Eta bankas. Upon training completion they will be issued with certificates.
The training courses ‘Working with Computer and on the Internet: A Primer’ will be held on 17 to 20 and 24 to 27 October in Kaunas County Public Library (Radastu g. 2). The library’s specialists will introduce the participants to the principles of computer work, the specificity of Internet browsing and the requirements for personal information safety, will teach them to search for information on culture, leisure, heath and other useful issues on the Internet. The training groups have been composed.
Those who already know how to use computer and the Internet but wishing to get acquainted with the environment of e-banking are invited to take a separate two-hour training course ‘Ukio bankas E-banking Services: Safety of Personal Information’ to be held on 18, 20, 25 and 27 October in Kaunas County Public Library (Radastu g. 2). ‘We are happy to be able to contribute to the enhancement of computer literacy of the country’s population. As computer, the Internet and electronic banking services open up vast opportunities, we want the largest possible number of people to know about them and be able to use them. We believe that these training courses will encourage their participants to avail themselves of the advantages offered by technologies,’ Vitalija Cariova, director of Ukio bankas Marketing Department, said.
‘These training courses have attracted a lot interest – many people want to learn to use computer and get acquainted with the Internet and acquire abilities of effectively browsing it and using electronic services. We hope these training courses will be useful for them. Upon receiving requests, we are planning to organise additional training courses,’ Daiva Kibildiene, chief methodologist of the Electronic Information and Training Centre of Kaunas County Public Library, said.
Dates of the training courses to be held in November will be posted on the website www.kvb.lt. It is planned that 60 residents will receive training during the training courses to be held in October.
