OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2011. New producer of motor cars is to appear in Azerbaijan.

Director of Ganja automobile plant Xanlar Fatiyev has reported that the automobile plant is going to start producing motor cars.

" We have already launched talks with foreign motor cars producers to organize production of their techniques in Azerbaijan. The talks are still at the early stage and it is a little early to forecast starting date of production ",- Fatiyev said. He did not call possible partner-companies.

"I can only say that they will not be from former USSR countries ",- Fatiyev added.

Main producer of motor cars in Azerbaijan is still Nakhchivan automobile plant assembling the technique of Chinese company Lifan.

Ganja automobile plant produces MAZ lorries, special technique on their base , MTZ tractors (" Belarus").
