Ukrainian Government Cares about Aided People
OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2011. Draft Budget 2012 intends to keep gradual housing for peacekeeping soldiers and people affected by Chornobyl disaster. The following allocations are provided for this:
- 50.9 million UAH to house peacekeeping soldiers, which 30.9 million UAH or 2.5 times exceeds the 2011 allocations. These funds are expected to cover about 10 thousand square meters to house 170 peacekeeping soldier families;
- 50 million UAH to house people affected by Chornobyl disaster, which 6 million UAH or 13.6 percent exceeds the 2011 allocation.
Single payment for war veterans and victims of Nazi oppressions is allocated in Draft Budget 2012 at the amount of 610 million UAH, which 60 million UAH exceeds the 2011 allocation.
May 9 single payments for veterans of the Great Patriotic War will increase by 7.5 percent in average. Entitled to those payments are:
- first-group disabled people and people having special services to the Motherland, at the amount of 1080 UAH;
- second-group disabled people – 970 UAH;
- third-group disabled people – 855 UAH;
- combatants – 675 UAH;
- family members of deceased (decedent) war veterans – 340 UAH;
- war participants – 130 UAH.
There will also be about 50 percent increase of peacekeeping soldier payments, equaling them to payments for relevant categories of veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
