Freight One Signs First Haulage Agreement on Public Offer Terms
OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2011. Freight One recently signed an agreement with Kronos LLC (Krasnodar Territory) on the provision of boxcars.
Under this agreement, construction materials have been sent from Yeisk Station (Krasnodar Territory) to Makhachkala Station (Dagestan).
The agreement takes the form of a public offer. Freight One undertakes to provide a car within 10 days after receiving payment for it. If it fails to do so, it must pay the customer a fine of 10,000 rubles.
The service is designed for regional small and medium business and has the following limitations: The customer can order at most five boxcars per order and 15 per month. Freight One continues to work with large companies on the same long-term contract terms as before.
Kronos LLC Director Viktor Mandriko noted that the service provided by Freight One is very popular in the freight market, and is convenient for shippers. "Trucking is more competitive for short distances, but it is also more expensive on certain routes. So, of course, it makes more sense for us to use rail service. Besides, we have the opportunity to track shipments through the Freight One website every step of the way."
Mandriko went on to say that Kronos would continue to work with Freight One’s Rostov branch and expand not only the range of transported goods (industrial and consumer goods), but also start shipping to more destinations, including stations of the Southeast, Moscow and Sverdlovsk railways).
We remind you that beginning 26 September on the North-Caucasus Railway Freight One guarantees the provision of boxcars to small and medium-sized companies when they submit their requests from the Order boxcars by public offer page of the website www.pgkweb.ru. A special rate calculator is available on the website. After registering and entering the appropriate details, the customer can conclude an agreement. Beginning in November, the service will be available through all of Freight One’s branches, and in 2012 the company plans to extend it to other kinds of rolling stock.
