OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2011. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company reimbursed joint-stock company Irkutsk Electric Grid Company (JSC IEGC) for damage caused by blizzard. The amount of insurance indemnity equalled RUB 29.7 mln. 

On April 28, 2011 in various districts of Irkutsk Region a blizzard with precipitation and blasts of wind up to 28 m/s took place. The average volume of the past precipitation was 33.62 mm which generally equals to two monthly norms of precipitation. As a consequence, power transmission lines of Western, Southern and Eastern electric grids of JSC IEGC were damaged.

Pursuant to the effective property insurance agreement covering ‘all risks’ and breakdown of equipment and machinery, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company fully indemnified the loss incurred.
